Mix.XR (EN)
MIX.XR continues to be a cutting-edge space when it comes to the intersection of technology, art, and diversity, showcasing stories that challenge, move, and expand the horizons of LGBT+ narratives in new formats.
This year’s selection reflects the expansion of immersive experiences and the diversity of technologies that enable unique forms of interaction and storytelling. We present 11 experiences from France, Finland, Poland, Chile, the USA, Portugal, and Brazil, all sharing a common goal: to stimulate the development of new media for telling LGBT+ stories that represent the plurality of our community.
The variety of formats in this selection encompass works with artificial intelligence, interactive installations, documentaries, experimental short films, and dramaturgies developed in virtual reality, combining VR and holography. The trend of multi-user experiences also requires larger and more sophisticated spaces for participants to fully immerse themselves in these narratives.
Due to the large number of experiences and spatial demands, we divided the program into two parts, to be exhibited from November 14 to 17 and from November 19 to 23 at MIS, providing the audience with the opportunity to explore the maximum of these innovative creations.
